New Years Eve Party

I would like to thank everyone who supported the New Years Eve Party in the Village Hall. The event was in aid of the Village Hall and it raised £70.00.
I would especially like to thank Gill, Veronica and Karen for their help with the food and the decorating of the hall and also the very talented DJ Dave Summers who jumped in at the last minute to provide the music.
I do hope that any noise made by the party goers did not cause too much of a disturbance to any of the residents in the vicinity of the Village Hall.

I have heard there were a few complaints about the noise made in the Village on New Years Eve. I am sure that you can all accept a small amount of noise with celebrations for the New Year. However if anyone was upset by our celebrations please accept our sincere apologies.

Air strikes on Iraq have finished after three days. I think it's a good idea to shoot bombs down, to blow up bombs and other bits and pieces. The thing is that the bombers from England and America are trying their best to not kill any good people or hurt them.
The bombing stopped after three days . Sadam Hussain spends too much money on bombs, that makes me very angry and not enough on other things, and that makes me feel sorry for the good people who live in Iraq. And Saddam Hussain lies.

SWAFFHAM PRIOR W.I.

We meet on a Monday once a month in Swaffham Prior Village Hall to listen to speakers on a great variety of subjects, and we would welcome more ladies from Reach who would like to join us.

On 18th January Beryl Sealy gave us a most interesting talk on New Zealand, it's history and that of her husband's family, the first of whom emigrated as missionaries in the early 1800's.

Next month, on 22nd. Feb. at 7.30pm., we are to learn about life 'Behind Harem Walls' which sounds interesting to say the least, and on 15th March we shall be holding our AGM.
