March has been a quiet time for school trips. Class 3 have been to visit Peterborough as part of their topic this term. Class 1 are eagerly awaiting for their eggs to hatch. If you are in school have a look through class ones window to see the incubator
The race night was a great success, extremely noisy but enjoyable, with good food, wine and good company. The evening raised the magnificent sum of £700. In the last race each horse was auctioned and the winner to receive half the auction money taken Sue Greenhill was the winning jockey for the Greenhill family, she amazed everyone with her talent!!!. The PTA would like to thank Sue and her family for donating their winnings of £44 back into the PTA fund.
On a more serious note, we have heard that the swimming pool liner needs replacing and county have no funds for this, the school needs to raise £2000. It would be a great pity to loose the pool. One way of contributing to this is through the school 100 Club we have 17 tickets left to sell at £10 each-the odds are better than the lottery! If you haven't got yours yet call Mandy Manchett on 610405.
Once again Tescos are running their Computer for schools scheme. If anyone shops at Tesco and doesn't have a home for their vouchers the school and children would be very pleased to have them, there is a box at the top of corridor. Any promotional vouchers would be most welcome.
The hockey was well supported, it was lovely to see everyone joining in. Good fun had by all. Many thanks to Alastair Everitt for umpiring once again and also Rachael for running the crèche
Another date for your diaries is Friday 15th May. The PTA are holding a Line dancing evening at Reach Village Hall, 8pm. The cost of the tickets £3.75 including light supper. So put on your dancing shoes and let the pros teach you to Line dance.
