Try to make a note of as many of the following details as you can:

1. The registration number (and whether raised or flat letters)

2. Colour  (bodywork and interior)

3.  Make, e.g. Ford, Vauxhall, Nissan

4.  Model, e.g. Sierra, Cavalier, Bluebird

5. Body Style, e.g 2-door, 4-door, van, pick-up, estate, hatchback  or  saloon .

6. Condition, e.g. old or new, clean or otherwise, any damage ?

7. Other features, e.g. stickers, mirrors, tow bar, aerial, sunroof,  wheel trims etc.

NOTE:

If the suspect leaves before the police have arrived, contact them again and give the car's direction of travel. Telephone 999 if it is a real emergency.
