Diamond Jubilee Party

Monday 4th June 2012 - 2.00pm to 7.00pm on the Fair Green

The Queen came to the throne on 6th February 1952 with her Coronation taking place on 2nd June 1953. 2012 is therefore her Diamond Jubilee and celebrations will take place across the country (and the Commonwealth) with an extra Bank Holiday providing a 4 day weekend from Saturday 2nd June to Tuesday 5th June. In Reach, we plan to celebrate the event with a Diamond Jubilee Party which will take place on the Fair Green on Monday 4th June, starting at 2.00pm and finishing around 7.00pm.

There will be food and entertainment (plus other fun stuff) - so please make a note in your diaries and come along. It will all be free to Reach residents but as with the Royal Wedding Garden Party, we would like a donation of £5 per person for any guests you bring along.

Entertainment will start with Kate Garner - pianist and singer who is noted for her unique piano-based songs and quintessentially English lyrics.

This will be followed by the Mindset Ceilidh Band - so be prepared to participate!

And we will also have Lizzy B with us - Face-painter!
