Editorial

 {short description of image}

It is time for me to write a few words again, time goes so quickly these days, it only seems like the other day I was writing the editorial before Christmas. The Christmas and the New Year celebrations are over, we can now look forward to Easter and hopefully some warmer days. The next issue of course as you all know is the last one before the Fair so please ensure that all submissions are with me by the 15th March or they will not be included as beside the extra work I have in editing the Out of Reach for that issue it is going to be the school holidays and I have got to get the magazine to the printers before the end of term. Of course if you would like to submit today I am more than willing to take it. (The sooner the better). I would like someone to come up with a front cover for the Fair issue I am running out of ideas and I know you have plenty.

The crossword this time has changed it’s format I have made all the clues anagrams. You can clearly see the words you need to unscramble as they marked, if this works and I get more entries then we can try it again but without the marks. I will point out that some of the answers are two words and in one case three. If I told you which ones though it would make it too easy and as you all know, especially those that attended the Christmas quiz night I am not in the habit of doing that. I am however going to make my next quiz night slightly easier, as I think that last one was a bit too much.

According to the Dyke’s End the memorial fund has now gone over the £1000 mark well done everyone let’s keep it going and we will soon be able to get the restoration under away. It would be nice to have all the work done by the summer. Oh yes talking about the summer well June anyway we still have not had any suggestions from you about what we should do on Jubilee day. I assume from this either no one is interested or you are quite happy to leave the decisions to the same old people again. If you have any ideas get them to a parish councillor as soon as possible please.

You will have found when your Out of Reach arrived through your letter box that a piece of paper also fell on your mat. A Questionnaire from Phil at the Dyke’s End, he would like to get more village people involved in the pub and has asked for any suggestions, please help him by filling it out and returning it as soon as possible to the Dyke’s End Thank you.

I believe some new people have arrived since the last issue, welcome to them, the next Village Fair Committee meeting is February 13th !. Sorry I shouldn’t do that it’s not fair especially when you have only just arrived, wait till next year.

The sports club have organised table tennis and darts evenings in the village hall Mar 15th and April 12th respectively please support these events.

Well I am coming to the end of my ramblings for another issue so all I can do is wish you all a Happy Valentines Day, Mother’s Day, and A Happy Easter and I will be in touch with you all again in April.

Don’t forget get your submissions in early for the next Out of Reach.
