Dyke’s End Questionnaire

Dear Villagers,

Firstly I would like to thank all of you that filled in the recent questionnaire, although 13 replies out of 100+ was not a very good response some interesting facts arose.

From your replies the following is now available at YOUR pub:-

A treasure hunt is being arranged for the August Bank holiday weekend.

Quiz nights will remain at one a month (Last Sunday 7.30 pm)

Stamps 1st & 2nd Class are now available one step towards a POST OFFICE.

Bar Snacks are available every night except for Saturday night.

Monday 6.30 pm - 7.30 pm (2-4-1) £9.95 for 2 people 2 courses. Simple home cooked meals. A glass of wine or a pint of beer with the meal will only cost £1.70.

Introducing 1800 club:- 6.00 pm - 7.00 pm Tuesday to Thursday all spirits & beers 30p off normal bar prices. (Loyalty card not valid)

Swear box introduced to raise funds for the War Memorial restoration.

Wine & Cheese evening 25th April £5.95 All British cheeses and a good selection of wine. 7.30 pm onward. (Tickets available now)

Pork Pies now available for drinkers from 9.30 pm with pickle or mustard £1.20)

The Dyke’s End can be booked for coffee mornings small groups catered for (We are child friendly as long as parents are responsible).

O.A.P’s Tuesday lunch 25% discount

B.B.Q We will try to arrange some Saturday Evenings B.B.Q’ s with Jazz, Blues or other music as requested.

Lap Dancing Can be arranged after hours from midnight as long as you supply the lap dancers. I’ve got the venue! By the way Andrew does Helen know about this!!!) Joke Helen honest!

I’m afraid delicatessen and General store along with Post office & a youth club (Hall committee please note), could take a little longer to organise but if I had the room to accommodate these I definitely would.

The computer is now installed and up and running for ALL to use. First time users please come in on Tuesday lunch times or Wednesday nights where tuition is FREE. After completing a basic program you will be able to use it at your leisure. E-Mail, shop on the net, or just surf all absolutely free.
