The Kings - An Update

The formal investment document has now gone out to all who had indicated an interest in contributing funds to the village effort to rescue the pub. The deadline
for returning duly completed shareholder applications (and cheques) is June 1st.

Our vehicle for the investment, Reach for a Pint Ltd, has been formed and we are confident that we will now be able to move forward quickly to complete the project. However it is not too late to become an investor (£250 minimum and multiples above) and we remain hopeful that a few more potential investors might yet come forward. It is one person one vote, so whether you commit £250 or £25000 you have an equal say in issues. Forms are available from Bryan (743966) or Philip (742115) for any very welcome late enquirers.

After June 1st, the company directors will meet to review the success of
the process. If targets have been reached, then on we go with the conveyancing and purchase. IF we are short of the stipulated target (£150 000) the directors will have
one week to try and raise the additional capital before proceeding. BUT IF at the end of this time funds have not been raised, then all funds will be returned to investors... and we will lose our pub.

Assuming we do raise the funds (which we think we will) then the plan is to
complete the purchase, undertake the necessary renovation, and then have a grand opening with the premises initially being run by the community. In due time a manager will be sought to take it through to a target sale date of approximately three and a half years.
