Reach Amenity Fund |
|
Reach Parish Council and
Reach Village Hall Committee have agreed to set-up a new
fund, known as the Reach Amenity Fund, financed by the
profits from Reach Fair, in order to provide funds for
community activities within Reach. Although held as a Parish Council account it will not be used in place of the rating precept, nor to fund any function which would normally be met from the Parish precept. The proportion of the profits from the Fair given to the fund will be decided each year, before the Fair, by the Village Hall Committee subject to a minimum of 25%. Approval for use of the fund will be made by both the Parish Council and the Village Hall Committee and must be made in writing by any member of the village or village Club. Approval will normally only be given for events or facilities which benefit a number of villagers. If appropriate both the Village Hall and Parish Council may benefit from the fund, provided the required agreement is reached. In the event that the fund must be closed then the remaining monies shall be disposed of by common agreement. The money in the fund shall be invested in a high interest account as is most practical. Reach Parish Council Reach Village Hall Anyone in the Village is welcome to apply for use of the above fund or to make suggestions for it's use. Unfortunately we must ask that all applications be in writing, in order for everyone to be able to consider them fully, but we may ask you to discuss them with us as well. Some examples of possible uses of the fund are : Sports Day prizes and Teas Fire-works for the year 2000 celebrations Seats for the wood, playing field, Hythe etc Village picnic Additional trees, shrubs etc Tidying and maintenance of the area at the end of the Hythe by the Lode. Fire-work night We need your ideas to help us make the best use of the money for the village. |
