Well, is the Summer here at last? We are busy organising our outings for this year. The clients requested a seaside trip with fish and chips "in the paper", as many of them haven't seen the sea for many years, they will see what a difference sea-sides are now. Six residents went to Banham Zoo, we had a lovely day, the Zoo made us all most welcome. All the staff came back with painted faces, the residents refused (I wander why!). "Roz the boss" was off duty that day thank goodness. Our fete this year is on Saturday 22 July, we hope to have craft stalls, cakes, bouncy castle and other activities which have yet to be arranged. We had a celebration at the day centre in May, one of our friends had her 100th birthday. She had a lovely day with her friends, a cake, flowers and a good sing-a-long of all her favourite oldies. Perhaps you saw her photo in the Newmarket Journal. Please pop in to see us and have tea/coffee and a chat. Our future activities are listed below. See you soon. Sheila, Hilary, Lynda, Brian and Jonathan Aug 4th Sing-a-long with Len 18th Painted Glass Sale 25th Coffee Morning, Bingo, Raffle Etc. |
