A cold wind blew as the 7 bridesmaids and 2 pageboys stood shivering in their party wine coloured dresses outside Swaffham Prior Church

The Bridegroom Gary stood in church expectant of his bride. The white limousine arrived at the church and as the bride stepped out one of the small pageboys shouted “Wave to me Kelly”. Inside the church was hushed, the organist began to play the bridal march. We turned and watched the radiant bride in her beautiful ivory gown glide down the aisle on the arm of her very proud father Roland. As the bride reached her groom their smiles said it all.

Later a reception was held at Bottisham British Legion for 80 guests, where later the bride and groom left for a two week cruise of the Mediterranean, through an arch of well wishers and the playing of “Congratulations”.

The bride’s and chief bridesmaid Amy’s bouquets were later placed on their brother Steven’s grave.
