Firstly I would like to congratulate the men’s darts team for their achievements in their first season in the Burwell League.

We have finished runners up in the league and we are still competing in our individual competitions,

So far we have players in the semi-finals of the singles, ladies pairs and mixed pairs. There are still several competitions left to play in, so good luck to all those involved.

Unlike the ladies we have concluded all our matches including our individual games in the Burwell League. We are now entering the Bottisham League for the winter and are still on the lookout for more players.

How did we do in the Burwell Summer League, well I must say not too bad for our first effort. We managed to come third in the league, ending up as the top pub in the area, the first and second spots being taken by the Ex Service Club from Burwell. A message to them from us “You only have that trophy on loan”

In the Team Knock out Cup we made the Final only to be beaten yet again by the Ex Service A team. We will beat them I promise.

On the individual side everyone did extremely well with many high scores, being thrown by everyone at one time or another (we just need to get them all together all the time) At this point I must mention Mike Greenhill who throughout the whole season had a 100% record not losing a single match and congratulations on winning the Individual Knock Out Trophy.

By the way when you want 80 to finish, how can you hit 5, then 25 then bull ask Mike he can! Excellent darts all season Mike Well Done.
