Editorial

 {short description of image}

Would you have thought that a year ago we were waiting in anticipation for the pub to reopen which it duly did on October 16. For this reason you will see a notice on page 5 for the anniversary celebrations. Phil has decided to put a buffet on and included in the price will be a drink, for £5 it sounds excellent value to me. Get your tickets from Phil, he should have them by the time you read this!, and lets all help to celebrate the past year.

I believe we have some new families moved into the village and I have been asked to make a special mention to Laura, Phoebe and Richard Luckyn-Malone who have recently moved in to Waterhall Cottage, to everyone else who have joined us welcome. Of course if new families arrive then families must go so farewell to those of you who are leaving and we hope to see you all back here for Fair Day 2001, (the 801st).

Due to editorial restrictions (2 blank pages) I have decided not to put a Neighbourhood Watch page in (If you can’t fill pages then you have to remove them!). However a quick note to let you know that 3 new telephone numbers now exist in the Reach Watch. These numbers are Phil on 743816, Joyce on 742405 and Deborah on 742293. Thanks to them for volunteering. Links to the other villages can now be set up and by the end of October, we will have information flow from Burwell to Bottisham, allowing us to keep our villages safer. In the next issue I will add further details on how this will work.

I have just been reminded by the boss that exam results have come out since the last issue, I must therefore congratulate all of you who have succeeded in achieving the grades you required to go on to further or higher education. This year as well I must not forget those who have completed their university courses. Well done to all of you and good luck in the future whatever you will be doing.

I am running out of steam on my editorial this issue, so I am going to finish and find something to fill the bottom of this page. Before I go though a thought 9 weeks to Christmas, who will be the first to put up the decorations, and when will the first Christmas party be??

A test no prize but what is the next number in this sequence 10000, 121, 100, 31. 24. 22. 20, 15 ??
