A new committee has been formed to take over the running of the Burwell Toy Library, with immediate effect. A large amount of work is required to enable the Toy Library to re-open. The committee are at present undertaking this work with a view to re-opening the Toy Library on 28th September 2000 at 2 pm, for further details please see posters around the village nearer the time or contact Chairman Jayne Davis, 604545.

To enable the Toy Library to operate smoothly and provide a valuable service to the village and surrounding areas more volunteers are required to run the bi-weekly sessions, if you have any spare time on a Thursday afternoon and would like to help, please contact Jayne Davis.

Last year the village did not have a Children in Need disco it was a shame as all the children had enjoyed them on previous years. Wendy has asked Cliff and Helen if they would like to do the disco and they have said "yes", we are going to do a raffle so if you would like to buy a ticket or donate a prize it's all for a very good cause, Lesley has offered to do some face painting, We hope to have a surprise visitor ! ! !, and games for all, soft drinks will be available and a bar. All children under the age of 10 must be with a parent, not left at the hall alone.

Tickets will be available soon at £ 1 child, £2 adult, £5 family.
