WHAT YOU HAVE TO DO Once you find your dog has gone "walk about", contact the Council offices on 01353 665555 or the Police station on 01223 358966 (ask for Ely Police) If your dog has been picked up you will need to come to the Council Offices to identify your dog. You will need to bring:
Before the release papers are issued you will need to pay the following costs:
Once you have settled your bill you will be given a release form which needs to be taken to Wood Green Animal Shelter within 24 hours Your dog will only be released when you produce the paper work showing that you have paid the Council for the costs of detaining the animal. WHAT HAPPENS AT WEEKENDS If your dog is picked up on a Friday and the dog warden has been unable to return your dog to you, it will be taken to Wood Green animal shelter. The Police Station will be notified of the dogs held at Wood Green You will NOT be able to collect your dog until the Council. offices open on Monday morning ADVICE
