A letter to The Village

A letter to The Village, the gauntlet laid down!

Last Saturday I walked up my front garden path and into my home. Not an unreasonable thing to happen without drama I think that you would agree.

The result was foul smelling, hazard to health, dog mess on my carpets because someone let their pooch mess in my front garden………..again!

We have tried to be nice about this. We tried a letter earlier in the year with a “pretty please” hint regarding dogs loose in the village but nothing appears to have changed.

My statement is;

I no longer want dog mess in my garden or house.

If I see a loose dog, or an irresponsible owner allowing their dog onto my property to perform it’s bowel functions I shall report the incident to the authorities and pursue the matter vigorously to a conclusion.

If you like your dog, control it or be prepared to face the consequences.

I know I am not alone in this conviction, a neighbour who has children is concerned enough to have erected a sign to the same end, and I sympathise……the ramifications for his family are far more frightening.
