Before I start writing anything this time I must ensure that all are aware of the change of surgery times at the doctors in Burwell. Please read the surgery information on the inside of the front cover. As Burwell seem to forget about us when they change times could anyone who is at the doctors and sees changes please ensure that I am notified. Ta You will see in this edition a questionnaire for the Village centre could you please fill it out to help the committee with their decisions. Tony or one of his helpers (Elves this time of year) will be around to collect them before the Carol service in the village hall on December 18 at 7.30 pm. I have also added a small piece about broadband again could you please let me know soonest if you are interested. I still have not received all of our youngsters birth dates in the village they are coming in, in dribs & drabs but a few more would be nice. It’s only so I can ensure they are included in the right issue of Out of Reach and can then be dropped when they go over the age of consent (Unless of course you wish us to include all parishioners birth dates if so let me know.) I must apologise about the last crossword I should think it did make you cross! I forgot about 3 clues. If anyone had completed it, it would have been a miracle, please try again with this issue I have checked it and it looks right to me, so go on have a go. I am sure I had to apologise for something else last issue as well but I can’t remember now what it was for, so sorry anyway Ah yes Mr. Postman (Trevor) he made £850 not £350 for Arthur Rank Charity as was printed.
On
December 29th
at 7.30 pm in The Dyke’s End is going to be a very special Christmas Quiz,
with prizes galore, so please come along and have a great night out, you
could even go away with next years presents. No Tony has put a lot of
effort in so please come along and support him. The cost will be slightly
more than normal £2.50 per head, but I can assure
you it will be worth it. (max of 6 players per team). Congratulations to Phil & Tess who are visiting London in January to attend The Village Pub of the Year Award. they will be there with one other pub, therefore first or second must be the result. Well Done I don’t really have a lot more to say this issue except of course to wish all of the village a very Merry Christmas and a Happy and Prosperous New Year so I will leave now and get myself sorted for the November quiz Dave |
