OOPS!!!! It’s not the 799th fair next year as I stated in the last issue it is in fact the 800th next year, so please don’t wait a year to think up ideas let the committee have them NOW!!. Let’s make this fair a fair that will be remembered for a long time to come, may be at the 900th fair they will be saying that 800th fair is going to be hard to beat.

As you probably already know The Kings Public House that was purchased by the Community for the Community has now become that Community’s Public House and as such you will notice in forthcoming weeks signs appearing and messages asking for help. This help will not be too strenuous but I’m afraid as all Community projects get off the ground they require that little bit of extra push. A little help will be required with painting, gardening, clearing up (after the builders), etc etc please lets have as much help as possible when the moments arise and have a pub to be proud of. We deserve it.

I have just read through “Embrace Around the World” a budding author here I think, just one thing that does worry me though is the honeymoon. I may have to be a real editor for a change and cut bits out, oh what the heck the Sun doesn’t so why should I. Joking apart I think it is an excellent piece of work lets have more of it.

I see Grahame Miller is asking for some help for the Millennium book, I have been taking some pictures of The Kings refurbishment which I will let Grahame study to see if he is interested in any of them. I would however like to add my own appeal here any other peoples’ photographs of this happy event I would love to borrow for a day or two, as I am trying to put together a web page of the ‘Return of The Kings’ for those friends of ours who have gone overseas and need some memories or reasons to come back to see us.

As you can see from this edition of the Out of Reach our fame is beginning to spread word wide, a letter from Australia and our guest book is also beginning to be found by many people all over the world. I have added a few of their comments in this issue, I will update this regularly you might even remember some of the people who are leaving messages. Any of you guests who read this may also like to contribute to the magazine if so please contact me and I will add your contribution to the next issue.

I suppose a lot of you will be thinking about your summer holidays soon, well before you go don’t forget to cancel the milk and the papers whilst you are away, and it may be a good idea to let your neighbour know where and when you are going and when you are back. They may even mow the lawn for you whilst you are away!!!. Anyway for those of you who are leaving us for a few weeks have a great time and we will see you all when you get back. (Don’t forget Out of reach might like a postcard or two) Oh yes and a very warm welcome to all the new arrivals in the village.
