Playing Field Improvements We have now had the playing field for over two years and over this time many people have become aware of a few problems involving the facility. Everyone knows that if a football is kicked at a sharp spike it usually gets a puncture, so why does a very spiky hedge surround the playing field? Has anyone ever tried to retrieve a ball from a spiky hedge? I have several times and it is not very easy, or fun, or in anyway enjoyable so why is there a spiky hedge? Most of the people which use the playing field would probably be very grateful if someone would donate a cow to the village because it could then be grazed on the playing field and with the shorter grass we may be able to find the goalposts again! Another minor flaw is that someone forgot to UN-plough the playing field when it was turned from a field into a playing field. I know the playing field has already been rolled once but this has had virtually no affect and at the moment playing most types of ball games very difficult (especially football which is already hard enough with a flat ball). Litterbins have been placed at numerous new locations around the village so why not one on the playing field? I am not being ungrateful because the playing field is already a wonderful asset to the village and the people who worked so hard to set it up did a brilliant job. But if these constructive criticisms were sorted out then the playing field would be made an even better place! One Last Point Where can all my friends and myself meet up when we come out to see each other in the evenings? If we' stop in the bus stop then Mr. Lambert and Phil Lewis come out and moan at us. If we park at the bottom of the track in the middle of the green then we usually get threatened unless we move, and we like the people near the top bus stop so we do not want to sit near there. So where can we park? I would like to add that we never stay in the same place all evening, We often go down the No Hurry (No one has any complaints about us parking down there, and I am sure you can not hear our music from that far away!!!!) Other times we don't even bother coming out because of all the abuse directed at us. Is it because we've got better cars than you have? Or do you not have any friends to sit and talk to? The three body segments of an insect do not depend on each other for survival. Some insects can live as long as a year after their heads have been cut off. They still react to light and heat, even though they can’t see where they are going…. |
