Dog Fouling Every time I cut the grass outside my house I end up with a mess on the mower and on the lawn. I am getting extremely fed up with this. If the owner of the dog/dogs who cause this mess do not stop and clear it up then I will without hesitation report them to the Police, The fine that can be imposed is of the order of £1000 so beware I am not going to ignore it any longer. The Peachey Family in Reach My grandfather, Alfred William Peachey, was born in Reach in 1896. His father Fredrick William Peachey was also born in Reach about 1874. I see from the 1881 Census Return that my great great grandfather (Alfred) was a carrier and farmer who owned 26 acres and that his wife Jesie Peachey was a grocer. I would love to know the name of their farm and then perhaps see it on a map. Also I would like to know if my great great grandmother had a grocers shop[ in the village. Can anyone help me If you can please E-mail Peacheybigbucks@aol.com or contact the editor who will forward any details. Editor note—the last time we looked we put two long lost school friends together—what can we do this time. I note that a G. Peachey played cricket for Reach on July 13 1894 |

Reach Fair Dear Andrew,Thank you very much for allowing me to bring my snack bar to Reach Fair. You appeared to have had an extremely successful day due to very good organisation. My visit proved worthwhile and hope very much that you will allow me to come again next year. Jack Ringer Dear Claudine, Thank you very much for inviting us to this years Reach Fair. You and your committee put on an excellent show and seemed to overcome the problem of Sundays rain with ease. The go karts were very popular as you said they would be and I would very much like to bring them along next year if invited. Thank you again for the great show and I look forward to hearing from you again in the future. Paul Grainger |
