Letters

Having read the Parish Council Notes in last month’s Out of Reach, I wrote to and subsequently met Cllr Fitch to express my concern at the reported comments he had made relating to the ‘short term thinking’ of some parents, who had removed their children from Swaffham Prior Primary School.

He agreed with me that as parents we should be entitled to make decisions concerning the well being of our children without outside interference or judgment, whether people agree with our decisions or not.

Reach for Your Salad Stall

A big thank you to all salad makers and helpers, we made £500 for Village Hall funds.

Nick Webb looked the part as he took money!, Ruth Kerry, Gareth Davies, Juliet & David Thomas, and Debbie &Graham Lingley. Francis, who doesn’t even live in the village, & hazel who has just moved into the village helped.

Most of these people also made salads but thanks also go to Lesley who seemed to cook beans all day and in her condition too!. Thanks to Hannah Webb, Jacqui Lewis, Rita Dunnet, Jen Holmwood, Sally Pearson, Olivia Coles and Joyce Harrison.

We were able to raise so much money since most people donated their salads thanks to all of you as well.

The more salads Made—the more pittas filled—the more money made.
