Darts

Ladies:

First of all I would like to say on behalf of all the dart team that it feels really good to be back home playing for the Dyke’s End.

It is also good to see that the men’s dart team have started so well and hopefully by the end of the summer leagues Phil will have a few trophies on display.

At the time of writing this we are in fifth place in the league having had a bye in the first week followed by 3 wins and one loss.

Wendy Cole

Men's

A men’s dart team is now in place at the Dyke’s End and for reasons known to others and not to us! we are not doing too badly. I say that as at present we are third in the league behind the two Ex-Service Club teams, Having produced two draws, one win and of course the inevitable loss, can’t win them all.

Unlike the ladies we have some of our knock out matches during the season with just a few finals on finals night. Having said that I must congratulate Nicky Gesinger on reaching the finals of the under 23’s, and he nearly one as well, well done Nicky. Now get on with your revision! Congratulations also go to Colin Parr, Glen Newman and Mike Greenhill on progressing through to round two of the Individuals.

Highest score to date 153 Nicky Gesinger—Well done.

Dave Summers

From both Wendy and Dave if anyone else is interested in playing darts Men Tuesday Nights , Ladies Thursday nights then please get in touch with them. If you cannot find them try Sunday night in the Dyke’s End playing ‘Half It’ on the dartboard.

In fact that is an open invitation to all to come and join in, on a Sunday night (Not quiz nights).
