In 1900 Octavio Guillen met the girl who would one day be his wife. Two years later he announced his engagement to Adriana Martines and everyone said they made a lovely couple.

They still made a lovely couple in 1969, when they cast caution to the wind and got married in Mexico City. They were both 82 and had been engaged for 67 years.
