This is my fourth try at producing the Out of Reach, I can now see why other editors before me have, shall we say jacked it in. The response from people in the village is incredible. As you can see from this edition it's all 'Political' Parish, District and County News, how about something from you out their relevant to OUR village. The sports day had to be postponed due to bad weather, fine nobody has given me a new date for this magazine, might be of interest to someone I suppose. Do you not care, I wonder. We are such a small community it would be nice to think that everyone could have some input to their own Parish Magazine. Come on let's have something from you I don't care what it is post it through the letter box with your name on for inclusion in the next issue (No petrol bombs though) and lets get Out of Reach moving with articles, soaps (novel idea), and may be a crossword or two...........
As you know we now have a new District Councillor Sarah Shulver from Bottisham I am sure you will, with me, wish Sarah every success in her new roll, and give her at least a couple of days to settle in before we start to phone, write and bombard her with all our local problems. (Sarah's first District Council Notes are on page 14).
Have you tried going down to the pit lately, you don't have to fish to enjoy a stroll, or a bike ride. Try a car impossible!!, try a bike, I did, came off twice in the rutts, so I said I'll walk well at least I didn't come off but I twisted my back on one hole I wasn't expecting. Is there anyone out there who can do something about that drove before someone does get hurt and I mean badly hurt. Or shall we leave it another year to get even worse. Don't forget winter is on it's way to make it worse. Only another one edition of Out of Reach after this before the Christmas edition is on the shelves. Anyway let's have all your submissions by the 15th September and make the next Out of Reach one to remember. Dave
