Village Picture

The date to take the village picture will be Sunday 17th October, outside the pub at 11.30 am. Please will you all try to be there, it is a once in a lifetime opportunity to obtain a unique record of this most historic village.

I would ask you to come as family groups and bring your pets, live stock or farm tractor so that we can create an image of what goes on in the village today. After the picture taking lets hope we can all enjoy a pint in the Dykes End.

Don’t forget the date Friday 1st October 7.30 pm in the Village Hall , We need pictures and captions or even short stories to give our village book that unique feel, because we are all involved.

Burglar Alarms

It is good practise and in the interests of good neighbourliness, if you have an alarm fitted to your property to arrange for a “local keyholder” who is capable of controlling the alarm if it is set off.

Remember that if an alarm constantly sounds without being reset then everyone including burglars know you are not at home. Which of course defeats the object of having an alarm.
